Preparation Time: 40 minutes

Marinate the fish pieces with red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and lemon juice. Keep it for half an hour. Shallow fry the marinated fish for just two to three minutes.
To prepare the gravy, heat oil in a non- stick pan. Add crushed and chopped garlic, curry leaves and mustard seeds. Sauté for one minute. Add onions and sauté it again. Once the onions become soft then add chilies and sauté for another one minute. Add chopped tomato, turmeric powder, pepper powder and then sauté till the tomatoes become soft. After adding coconut milk boil it.
Add the fried fish pieces and salt to it. Boil for five to seven minutes. Add lemon juice and mix well. Serve hot with steamed rice.
Do’s: If you don’t like spicy food then remove all seeds from green chillies. Boil chillies for one to two minutes in water and then add to it.
