Moong Dal Roll

Ingredients:

  • For paste:
    • 100 gram Moong dal, soaked in water for 3-4 hrs.
    • 1 small piece ginger
    • 2 green chilies
    • 1 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves
    • Salt as per your test
    • For covering:
    • 250 gram wheat flour
    • 1 teaspoon refined oil/olive oil
  • For tadka:
    • 8- 10 currry leaves
    • 1 tablespoon rai
    • 1 pinch hing
    • Water as per requirement

Recipe:

Grind all ingredients for paste in mixer and make a smooth paste. Add olive oil and little water to the wheat (gehun) flour and knead into a soft dough.
Divide the dough into small sized balls and roll them like a chapatti with a roller. Spread moong dal paste on this chapatti and roll them. Make 4-5 rolls and keep in a steamer for 15 minutes. After the rolls are cooked we cut them in small pieces.
Take a bowl and put little oil, curry leaves rai and hing and microwave it for 1 minute or heat a pan on gas stove and put all things for tadka. When rai make a crack sound mix small pieces of moong dal roll in it.
Now you can serve it with green chutney or sweet tomato chutney.
