Ingredients:

  1. For Cover:
    1. 2 cups, Whole Wheat (Gehun) flour
    2. 2 tablespoons, Mustard oil
    3. ½ tablespoons, Curd
    4. Water
  2. For Stuffing:
    1. 1½ cup, Roasted Bengal gram flour (Sattu)
    2. 2 to 4, Green chilies, finely chopped
    3. 1 pinch, dried mango powder (Amchur)
    4. ½ teaspoons, Cumin seeds (Jeera)
    5. ½ teaspoons, Black pepper powder
    6. ½ teaspoons, Ginger, finely chopped
    7. ½ teaspoons, Garlic finely chopped
    8. ½ teaspoons, Coriander leaves finely chopped
    9. 1 teaspoons, Lemon Juice
    10. ½ teaspoons, carom seeds (Ajwain)
    11. ½ teaspoons, Nigella seeds (Kalonji or Mangrel)
    12. 2 teaspoons, Mustard (Rai / Sarson) oil
    13. 1 tablespoon, Onion, finely chopped
    14. 4 tablespoons, cow ghee
    15. Salt

Recipe:

In a large bowl, mix together all the stuffing ingredients.

Pre-heat the micro-oven at 200°C on convection mode. Grease the baking tray and keep a side.

Divide the dough into small sized balls and spread them into small puris with your fingers.

Place a portion of the stuffing mixture and once again roll into balls. Arrange them on a baking tray.

Place in the pre-heated oven for 15 minutes on rack. Turning over once after 5minutes till the outer layer (both sides) of Littis is lightly browned.

Drizzle pure desi cow ghee over the Littis to give extra taste to it. Serve hot with different kinds of chokhas (bhartas).
